Reiki Training - The Truth

"I have often been asked if students have to train to be a Reiki Master Teacher or is it enough just to be trained as a Master - my response is When you have passed your driving test and can drive your car does that qualify you to teach others to drive and give them a pass? This is what you should expect"

1st Degree:
You learn how to treat yourself and others. This level is primarily for your self and is beneficial if you are caring for someone who is poorly.

2nd Degree: This level gives you sight and sound of the three 1st Degree Reiki Symbols. This empowers you, enriches your knowledge and takes you to what is known as the Practitioner Level.

3rd Degree: (Master Level): At this Level of Reiki you are taught sight and sound of the two 2nd Degree symbols. At Master level the new master can Attune to 2nd Degree level as part of the healing process in cases of serious or terminal illness or injury but no further. This is not license to teach Reiki. Reiki can only be taught once the student has completed a teaching course.

Master Teacher: At this level the Usui Master Symbol is taught. The Usui Master Symbol completes the awareness and pulls together the earlier levels. During teacher training Master Teachers are taught how to teach and Attune up to master level. This level further empowers and it is the culmination of the entire training programme and is generally an ongoing relationship between the master teacher and his or her Master Teacher until the new teacher is ready to become independent or as is the case with practitioners who are trained with The Lightworkers Foundation they can teach within the foundation. This Master Teacher course takes at least one year to complete and encompasses attending and participating in a minimum of four 1st degree, two 2nd degree and one master Course in addition to sharing days or work shops. Following this the trainee teacher is supervised presenting in his or her first course.

Written Aspects: At the end of each course the student is presented with the appropriate 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Reiki Teaching Manual and as with all courses further study in person or by correspondence will be necessary. Practice sessions are participated in during a six week period from the date of the first 3 courses courses and submissions are required for evaluation. Once they have been reviewed any required recommendations will be made before Diplomas are issued. There is no fail as students are supported until they have achieved a level of competence.

All students who train with the Lightworkers Foundation are licensed by the BCMA & the SCMA and are insured from the 1st Degree level.
